Ok, folks...We only have 75 students registered to take the PSATs. That's awful, especially since both juniors and sophomores may register now! The PSATs are the best indicator of SAT success out there. The amount of information students receive from PSAT score reports is invaluable in preparing to take the SATs. If you are even thinking about going to college after high school (that means for a certificate, 2-year, or 4-year degree) you should take the PSATs! Get down to the Guidance office and register! See blog entry from 9/30 for more info...
Down off the soap box now...the first marking period is over, and report cards come out next Wednesday. This is typically a popular time for students to request tutors for various subjects. We have many students lined up to help you through difficult material, and we make sure that student pairs are comfortable working with each other. Many students choose to work during block 5 or before school because the Library is open during these hours. If you look at your report card and flinch, please speak with your School Counselor about arranging for a tutor!
